One good thing that you will like about Navotas is although it’s urbanized, you can still find places here where quiet and peaceful sights and spots can be found. Even better, if you are craving for the freshest seafood, you can easily buy those in Navotas’ wet market.
People belonging in the middle and upper class society choose to live in villages and subdivisions. The city is compsed of fourteen barangays which are the: San Rafael Village, Tanza, San Jose (Poblacion), Navotas East, Navotas West, Daanghari, Bagumbayan North, Bagumbayan South, North Bay Boulevard-South, North Bay Boulevard-North, Tangos, Sipac-Almacen, San Roque and Bangculasi. If you prefer living in a subdivision or villages, some of the famous gated communities are: Kapitbahayan East, Kaunlaran Village, Isla De Cocomo and Ireneville Subdivision I, II & III.
However, if you are the shopaholic type of person who loves going in and out of shopping malls almost every weekends, have in mind that there are not landmarks like these in Navotas City. Although a shopping mall is the most common trademark of an urbanized city, Navotas doesn’t go with the flow and still chooses to be a humble city where people can live a life with less vanity. On the bright side, it has an open-air market which is the Agora Market. This market has a dry and wet section where various fresh products are sold like vegetables, spices, fish, meat and fruits.
Well, living in Navotas is sure not always eating home-cooked food fresh from the sea, right? If ever you craved for something like commercial food from restaurants or fast food, there are various QSR restaurants that you can dine in like: McDonald’s, Jollibee, Chowking and Greenwich. There are also carinderias and vendors lined up on most of the streets of this city. Should you ran out of budget, you can buy your food from these humble stores which gives delicious food yet comes in affordable prices.
